To the Comfort Inn/Beacon Marina in Solomons (MD) until Fall: Take Route 4 south and east through Prince Frederick to Solomons Island -- do not cross the bridge over the Patuxent River. Just before the bridge, take the right exit onto the island and turn left at the first stop sign. Take an immediate right on Lore Road and proceed to the marina at road's end.

To Point Lookout Marina: Take Rt. 235 south through Lexington Park to Ridge. Turn right at flashing light, then turn left immediately onto Wynne Rd. Proceed about 2 miles and then turn right on Miller’s Wharf Road which ends at Point Lookout Marina.

To Virginia Beach: From the DC area, most of us will take Interstate 95 South to Interstate 295 (Richmond Beltway) South to Interstate 64 East through the Hampton Roads area to Interstate 264 East, which ends in Virginia Beach.

To the Best Western Oceanfront in Virginia Beach (2809 Atlantic Ave., Virginia Beach, VA 23451, telephone 757-428-5370): Once in Virginia Beach, the interstate ends and becomes 21st Street. Take 21st Street to Atlantic Avenue, turn left. The Best Western Oceanfront Virginia Beach is on the right. Ask for the "Fisherman's Rate" ($40 per room plus tax). To Rudee Inlet: VA Beach Fishing Center (200 Winston Salem Ave., Virginia Beach, VA 23451
Phone #: 1-757-491-8000): The Virginia Beach Fishing Center is located in Rudee Inlet, which is at the south end of Virginia Beach. Once in Virginia Beach (where Interstate Route 264 ends), take a right on Pacifice Ave. Follow south until just before the inlet and take a right on Winston Salem Ave. Take an immediate left into the parking lot.
